The Searle is one of a suite of 5 holiday cottages and can be booked singly or together with other cottages for larger groups. The Lodge can accommodate 20 plus (depending on sleeping arrangements required) and the dining room of the Middleton can easily accommodate 20 plus for dining.
The Searle is priced for 2 guests but a third guest can be accommodated if required for an extra charge.
There is lots of off road parking.
The Searle has retained many features of the old inn and is a quirky, delightful cottage.
The Searle is on the ground floor and is accessed at the side of the Lodge. It has its own front door leading into an L-shaped hallway. There is a large storeroom off this hallway and an airing cupboard. A step leads up into the kitchen and then 3 more steps lead from the kitchen down to the lounge and dining area where there is a large stone fireplace with a feature electric fire. Considering it has only one bedroom (which comfortably accommodates a double and single bed) the Searle gives guests lots of space. The toilet/shower room is accessed from the bedroom.
The comfortable divan beds have pocket sprung mattresses and there is a clock/radio alarm with an Ipad/Ipod docking station.
There is access to a shared laundry with a washing machine and tumble dryer. Use is free but you will need your own washing powder.
We have a large, secure cycle store with bike stands - will store 20 plus bikes. Hybrid bikes can be hired for £5 a day. There is also a new laundry, boot store and drying room.
For the warmer weather there is a large garden with outdoor tables, benches and parasols. There is plenty of room for a barbecue should you wish to bring your barbecue with you.
There is no charge for use of WiFi.
On arrival there is a welcome pack with tea, coffee, Welsh cakes, flowers and a bottle of wine. There is also a starter pack with washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, soap, toilet paper and a black bin liner. You will need to replace these items when they are used up.
The Searle has a 38 inch TV with a 3-D viewing option and a Blueray player. There is a small selection of DVDs, books and a board games including Monopoly and Scrabble.
Dogs are accepted in this cottage by arrangement and with a charge of £3 per night per pet.
The Searle has retained many features of the old inn and is a delightful, quirky cottage. |
